POKER FORECAST FOR 2010 II

One of the more positive expectations for 2010 is the increase of middle stakes poker tournaments. This tendency could already be appreciated last year, as a growing number of competitions with buy-ins between 100 and 500 pounds were taking place. Those tournaments, that had started to be popular already in 2009 based their success on the fact that the buy in are affordable and the prizes still very good.

Regarding online poker rooms, in 2010 it is expected to see the continuation of some of the trends that started in previous years, and therefore players would be able to keep taking advantage of incredible promotions and at the same time enjoying the possibility of taking part at the best freerolls tournaments with extraordinary guaranteed prizes.

POKER FORECAST FOR 2010

Now that we have just started a new year is time to look ahead and try to foreseen what is going to happen in the poker world during the next 12 months.

Having into consideration the trends we could appreciate during the previous year, all seems to indicate that poker will still have a very important role at the main TV channels, and it is expected that a bigger number of poker tournaments is going to be broadcasted and at the same time more TV shows focused on how to play poker will appear.

Many poker experts also forecast that during the following months, some of the great European poker players that had a good performance at both online poker rooms and live tournaments during 2009 could strength even more their positions and poker careers. Therefore, 2010 can be the year of players like Chris Moorman or JP Kelly.

Lastly, as it could not be other way, it is also expected a great proliferation of the number of great live poker tournaments inside the European frontiers, following the example of the WSOPE in London.
